Wallpaper Managers

Thursday, August 9, 2001 by Tarkus | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

What are the best free wallpaper managers?

I'm currently using WallMaster, which is decent, but requires you to manually add new wallpapers (as do many other managers I've tried).

I'd like something that I can just point it to a folder or folders and it will dynamically keep up with the contents as they change. Just set and forget.

Of course, it needs to be able to change to a random wallpaper at a predefined interval.

Aside from that, I'm not looking for anything too fancy. I can use Windows Explorer to do the organizational dirty work.

I'm using WXP, so it has to be NT/W2K compatible.

Thanks.

The good old QuickChanger might be the choice for you!! And it's skinnable!

Thanks, but it appears you need to manually add wallpapers, and I want to get away from that. It also seems to be a bit buggy.

 Talking to ghosts now, Ross

necrothread of epic proportions.

My guess is that this was refloated by a spammer. If left alone, it would have sunk back down to the bottom.

That's how I knew he did the spellcheck, but it would seem you were in close proximity to know I was even there.

Thing is, Jafo [being the 'senior' spellchecker] had the final say in the matter.

I eagerly await the emergence of diamonds - it's all still coal for now.

No dinosaur eggs, then?

Not as bad as Doc, though!  His pet sabretooth ate his stethoscope, hehe.

Yup, and you should have seen the devil of a time he had giving the beast an enema so's he could retrieve it.

Yep...

Yeah, but where's the fun in that?

With not a lot of activity on the boards these days, somebody reviving a necro-thread is blessing in disguise.

More like a fossilized blessing.

Being most on this site are living fossils, you'd think they'd appreciate a blast from the past.

As a bit of a history buff, I just love it when folks take a trip down memory lane and talk Noah and Moses stuff.

If Starkers is involved, you're gonna need a bigger mask
