This just found for my friends in Oz, and for Oz Day (a shade early...but "no worries" you've got good stuff coming on 1/25 here, 1/26 there).
Maybe this will be helpful in getting you wonderful folks a better deal on your broadband connection (I hope!).

Have a great day... hope this is of some use to you!

Nimbin has added some good info: Apparently there are some good ADSL2 Broadband deals here: http://www.tpg.com.au/

I wish they'd turn this deal "upside down".
I need this deal "up over".

the deals l;isted on that site are ok, But TPG internet has far better deals available www.tpg.com.au i am on adsl off-net 8000/384 unlimited plan only $65 a month. nothing at that site compares to that. But thanks anyway

Mostly I'm limited to using hot-spots as they're free in my neck of the woods. The day-room where I hang out most times has wireless but their broadband isn't up to par. There are more than a dozen computers using the same link which is why I have to wait nearly twenty minutes at times for a page to load if it doesn't time out first. The deals though are pretty good considering.

You'd best watch out for your security on those "Hotspots" Uvah. Hackers can set up right 'next' to them and get your info that way.

All but one is secure and that one I use only for checking weather. The one I'm on now I got the security code from the owner of the premises. As for the one at the day room that one secure up the wazoo and only because I got on their butts to get rid of a certain AV app they were using. Damn thing was so weak virus' and such were having a field day. Twice in one day three of their machines were so badly infected they had to be taken off-line and and one needed a total overhaul. It didn't help that their IT guys aren't all that much up on stuff. Not to mention the 'clientele' aren't the smartest in the world.
