I am wanting to start making skins for winamp. The only skinning program I found for making winamp skins sucks! I have looked everywhere and cannot find a decent skinning program. Help, anyone!

are you talking about a graphic program to make the images to skin winamp or a program to actually skin winamp?

Well....all the programs designed to create winamp skins will guarantee very even results.....even an expert will make a crappy skin.
The best you will get is a 'photoskin'....a photo of something really 'kewl' like Britney Spears, with some dorky buttons on it.
The only real way to do it correctly is, unfortunately, by hand.....get out your favourite graphics proggy like photoshop or PaintShop Pro.....and start drawing.
There are templates available that show the relative button/component locations....but it is often just as easy to look closely into an existing skin and experiment with it until it all makes sense.

As for 'no help', it was probably just an oversight....and some of us limit how many days of messages show up, so can be quickly missed...

We 'usually' are a bit more helpful than you have noticed...

Here's a great tutorial on skinning winamp:

http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp2x/dev/skins/

Open up your favourite winamp skin (wsz files are just renamed zip files, so change the extension to zip, and uncompress the file, extract the bitmpas to a new directory, take a peek at them in your favourite graphics editor!).

If you don't have a favourite graphics editor yet, try The Gimp: (it's free!) http://www.gimp.org/win32/

Read the gimp page before you downlioad, and check the tutorial ion issue one of Teknidermy magazine too : http://www.teknidermy.org/
