As is most often teh case . . great skinners are masters long before they get the title.
Granting Master status means that you have given more to this community than millions of other members.

Now this is really weird. I'm perusin' the thread and poof! ... I just watched my avatar, DrJBHL's, HG_Eliminator's, Zubaz's and k10w3's vanish. Gone! Disappeared. No one else's ... Never mind. They're back. I don't know what the heck is goin' on here.
