In Milan, They Decorate the Streets with Glow-in-the-Dark Underpants

The 2010 Milan LED light festival — yes, there's such an event — has produced some amusing art displays, but my absolute favorite is pictured right here. It's called "Ieri, Oggi, Domani" which translates as "Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" and involves glow-in-the-dark underwear.
The installation was created by Italian designer Fabio Novembre (funny, I thought it was Decembre) and it is meant to create "dialogue between tradition and modernity" by being a celebration of the "century-old" practice of hanging garments from clotheslines.
Hey Fabio .... here's a flash for you: It wasn't all that great looking back then.

Had some glow-in-the-dark underwear, well only the superman symbol glowed.
A party trick was to tie a beach towel for a cape, dim the light down and make whooshing noises as I flew past the TV. Amazing what a few beers can do to someone.
Did put them on the dog one night. Whoosh..whoosh.
