Customizing native WinXP interface

Monday, July 30, 2001 by Qwakui | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Using a program called Resource Hacker (link below) you can open the Luna Theme File (file/path below) and replace the bitmaps in it. Is there any chance that WinCustomize could endorse this as a way of skinning and host .msstyles skins?

No khaled, it only works for XP.
XP has skins but no integrated way to apply your own skins to it. With Resource Hacker you can apparently extact Windows skins and replace it with your own. But then again maybe not, according to Brad.

Up until a few months ago you could tweak an existing visual style but since then the only way to get additional skins is to use WindowBlinds XP.
