Ok...what we need is for you widget/gadget guys to create one of these contraptions so we can change our weather on the fly! So then fuzzy can change his location in it and when he applies it....poof!...warm weather outside...and he can see the instant change happening...so get to it.

Been snowing in leeds too Michael...... Had to go to Birmingham and back (from Leeds) yesterday, and the M1 was closed because of that accident on the viaduct near Meadowhall. So, I went on the A1 instead...... took bloody ages and there was snow in the outside lane most of the way..... Not fun!!

Ah, Meadowhell...

Looks ominous. It's warmed up to -0.8°C and is cloudy. The range +0.5 to -0.5 here is heavy snow fall temperatures. We shall see.

Nothing like that here yet, just moderate temps. Won't last long though. Hope its not like last year. Had two blizzards back to back. Total accumulation was 71.5 inches in four days. Set a record going back many years. Then a week late we got blasted by a super soaker. Weird.

Yup, set off for work, by the time I got there 2" was on the ground.You just know here by the temperature what's going to happen.

Forecast says heavy snow for tonight.

We've had the coldest November in 120 years. Night temps -5 to -12. Day temps only just over freezing. Wind chill factor is around -30.

And then add the 30-40 cm (some places more) of snow we've gotten the past week.

I focking hate this time of year.

No work today, the college where I work is closed because of the snow

My two older kids didn't go to college either Mike..... Not like the old days, if the buses didn't run we just walked to where we had to be...... in a blizzard!

Your all a bunch of wimps, lol. Last week we had minus 37 celcius windchill temperatures and its only November. I even walked to work, in a t-shirt, barefoot and stopped to chat with the neighbor. It was when I had a piddle in the alley I ran into some difficulties which by the way will be the title of the book I am writting, Piddle in the Alley Way.    

I can remember back , in  the  sixty`s  when i was younger,when  the sea froze over at  sheerness to southend that was cold that year. Now in the sun ,but not much  at the moment, just rain.

I dunt rezemble that remark. Tee-shirt and barefoot indeed. And if that weren't enough he has the audacity to stop and talk to the neighbor. Of all the unmittigated gall! I never .......

The worst we get is a frosty morning now and then, maybe some snow up on the mountains if we are lucky.

Well it is normal for some places in Canada. The further North the colder the winters. I am actually from the East coast now living in the West and I think the weather from my home Province is nicer then where I live now. I think the only place in Canada that has mild winters is Vancouver, BC.

Also here in Canada we observe 2 temperatures in winter months. One is the normal temperature and the other is the windchill temperature. Not sure if its the same where you are from. Those cold days I mentioned may have been minus 20 celcius but with the wind it gives us a feel like temperature or also called windchill temperature which makes it much colder. Frostbite can happen quicker if the wind is strong even though the temperature is not as cold as it feels. Maybe our friends to the South know all this but I am sure some folk from other countries do not.
