ME MYSELF AND I

Tuesday, July 17, 2001 by Alexandrie | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I have a neighbor 2 stages lower, she always want us to do everything for her, and she is not doing anything.

I'm living in an apartment of 3 residences.

Winter here we have snow. And on our lease it's wrote that we have to clean up the snow on our patio and on our small pavement. She never did anything during the 2 winter I've been here. We've always clean up everytime it was snowing. One day my husband was removing snow, he was in front of the woman small pavement part, she started to yell at him: "Stop sending snow on my pavement part whitch you have on your staircase".

Damn some people are so selfish.

What a wonderfull neighbor!!

That seems to be where the villiage concept of society failed when it became the "city". We can now have neighbors that share our living space and yet are strangers to us.

Alex best way to deal w/ nasty neighbors and not have to say one word...
is play some loud music (just for an hour or so that'll do it)

exactly! if they'd put their music up high enough I could turn my off and save money on my electric bill...

we sold our house last year and currently rent and I have surround sound on my TV (cuz I like to "feel" my movies not just watch them)
at 6-7:00p.m. which is a decent time/hour to sit down and watch a movie w/ my kids I cannot! cuz my neighbor starts tap dancing on the roof! he gets all pissed off, yet I have to listen to him march around all day long day and night! hehe

well my prob is solved cuz I'm movin shortly a few steps closer to the beach, I need one more move to get on the water after that but I don't like renting much... I miss my house

Clean the entire patio, except their spot and throw all snow on their spot. Or toss it ontop of their car. Okay, this won't solve anything, just make thing worse and so on, but it's fun!

Or you could be subtle and say "Yes, I see you recently cleaned your patio too" and get them pissed off.

Alex, yes, I have had problems.....the trick is to learn to ignore them.
If that fails....refer 'the American Way'....

What Jafo forgets to tell, is that he lives on an island the size of a continent and a population of 18 million or so, where the closest neighbour lives thirty miles down the road.

My next door neighbor is a local police officer. He parks his marked police car right next to our driveway. Needless to say we don't worry too much about burglary.

Don't listen to Jafo. EVERYBODY knows all Australians live in the Outback, have 'roos and koalas in thier backyards, grill "Shrimp on the barbie", drink Fosters ('strailian for beeyah),go on walkabout with Steve Irwin (the crocodile bloke), know how to toss a boomerang, and sing "Waltzing Matilida" when not playing their didgeridoo.

Tho' I suspect Jafo plays with his 'digeridoo' a bit too much

Jafo grabs Russ's donger and chucks it on the barbie with the snags....Strewth, mate yer a fair-dinkum drongo if ya reckon that's the go.
Trans, chuck us a tinnie....this septic's as thick as two short planks.....

You know, I don't think I have ever seen a shrimp at a barbie in my life, apart from in Hoge's ads...

Besides....in Oz, the roos rule da hood....them's the real bad-ass mo-fo's that do the burglaries....

You guys will believe anything I say, won't you....hehe.....

Alexandrie, just an idea but this worked for me, when I moved to the institution/cave I reside in now, my neighbor did nothing at all to maintain, clean, or regular tasks around his place. Needless to say it drove me even more nuts. After a few months I started to talk to him and inturn started to do some of the cleaning that drove me nuts. Such as cutting his lawn, racking the leaves, and etc. Over a little time he realized how coming come to a nice looking yard helped his mood he got inspired to start doing the work himself. In short after a little time he started to keep the area clean, nice and it is still being done 2 yrs later. Amazing how is some cases, helping and talking can help. But yes there are some people that there is no help for and you just have to find a way to tolerate or ignore them
