applying background tabs or skins

Hi hope this is the right way to ask this but i have object dock plus 2 and wanted to download some new skins or tabs i guess they call them when i download them and place them in the backgrounds folder they dont show up in the selection to change the theme any help would be appreciated as to how to work this ty so much kat
after playing around i have figured this out ty so much
