Why?

Why do I need to login every time I visit WC these days? It doesn't matter if it's the main site or the forum, I need to login. It didn't used to be the case.

Things just working fine for me with IE 8. I know you have done this but be sure to clean out the browser history and cookies.

yeah, i use cookies and i have cleaned out the history and cookies. btw, i'm using firefox, this all started just a few days ago.

It is more than likely associated with the resent forum updates and tweaks. Hopefully it will get straightened out. Oh, and it does happen with IE 8, cleaning the history and cleaning the cookies usually clears it up, for awhile.

I'm automatically logged in every time I open my browser. FF is good at remembering that sort of thing. Only problem I've been experiencing up till now is having to log in when I switch between the forums and the homepage. So far, knock wood its been behaving itself.

MadDeez ....there's been a lot of Forum updates/improvements over the past week or so....with those there will be [has been] the need to re-login. That always happens.
It's expected to get back to normal once the site work is done ....

An update went out today. Make sure to completely clear all your cookies and try again.

I can't even login with FF today have to use Opera.
