Latest Windowblinds beta + Firefox4b6 = No Direct2D support

Saturday, October 2, 2010 by spyros2n | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Greetings. By using the latest windowblinds beta (which skins firefox successfully at last) Direct2D support is disabled, no matter what. You can easily check this out by going to about:support. When windowblinds skin firefox Direct2D acceleration goes to "False", but if you exclude firefox in window blinds and restart the app, then Direct2D switches back to "True".

I've also tried using the option "skin this app even if it uses direct 3D" in the exclude options with no luck.

This is by design in the beta as a short term fix for FF4.. The release version of WB 7.2 will fully support the FF4 release version.

WB does support IE9 and chrome betas using Direct2D if you wish to use a browser which uses D2D.
