Delivery Tracker

Bug reports, suggestions and other feedback

Hi everybody!

After a long time working on it, I just released a beta version of my package tracking widget.

Delivery Tracker

Delivery Tracker is a small gadget that allows you to track packages from different providers. It provides package details, a full list of package events, map tracking via Google Maps and Windows 7 taskbar integration.

This BETA version can track up to 10 packages and supports the following carriers:

  • Amazon.com
  • Amazon.ca
  • Amazon.fr
  • CanadaPost
  • Chronopost
  • DHL
  • Fedex
  • UPS
  • USPS

with more coming in the future.

It also has integrated auto-update and should show you an update window with the list of changes whenever a new version is made available.

Note: Since this is a beta version, all the features are available by default (all carriers, support for tracking more than 1 package, all time intervals).

The beta expires on 01/30/2011

You can download the widget on the gallery.

Zubaz: Yes I now, the website is not up yet, so you get asked a password. Should be ready when the widget comes out of BETA.

Hopefully I won't take as long to finish the website as I did with the widget

I agree with the rest that this is one handy widget.

I take it that after the beta expires that you will be uploading a final version, is that correct?

{Now to find somethign to ship or find someone to ship somethign to me.}

Quick...someone send him a dictionary.

Second thought, never mind...he wouldn't use it.

There's a built in spell checker and he still miss-spelt "something".... twice.

Forgot to ask...is this a stand alone gadget or does it require DesktopX to be installed?

Philly0381: Yes, I plan to continue working on it. There might be a paid version in the future, but I haven't decided yet which carriers will go into it. In any case, the beta has everything available for at least the next 5 months.

The widget automatically checks for updates, so when a new version is available you will see a window like this one:

CarGuy1: Yes, it is standalone. You can even run it as a portable application by launching it with "-portable" on the command line (this will be documented and probably available directly from the options in a future version).
