Well it seems my weapon of choice is a glass thermometer - Looks like I'm not going to last long.....
What's your "weapon of choice" (item currently to your left)?

That's for sure.... politicos have just barely enough collective brain to make up a rather small one... as in one minute singular brain.
I heard they took an IQ meter down to Canberra to measure the collective IQ of parliament. They performed dismally!!! On a scale of 0 to 210 the needle barely jumped off zero once. However, it generally hovered below.

Up in DC we're lucky if the #'s make it higher than a -0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001. Lets run a poll. Who among the WC can we nominate for President of the world. They need to rank Journeyman or higher. Uh oh..... got an idea.
the needle barely jumped off zero once.
and that is when Mr budgie smugglers walk out of the room
Actually, the needle jumped when it registered some IQ entering the room... in the form of the tea lady.
Damn, I'll never get promoted that high.
Not to worry... never aspired to be a damned pollie anyhow.

Oh, I could think of things better than being a friggin' politician... like being on a tropical island with a bevy of beauties and servants to do 'almost' everything.
EDIT
Actually, let's make that my latest acquisition.

Downloaded CS5 Extended trial version. Got 28 days left. It wants to take my laptop on a trip to the other side of nowhere. That Puppet Warp thingy ....... actually tried to abscond with it but I quickly showed him who's boss. Now if I can just get him to come back. I don't want Adobe thinkin' I puppet-napped it or something.

Great programs in that suite, but mighty expensive to buy. Shaunna and I have Photoshop Elements 4, which is enough for our needs along with PaintShop Pro 12. I don't know that we'd ever use CS5 enough to warrant its cost... a bit under 3 grand in Oz bucks for the complete deal via a retail store, or about $1500 online to downloaded the extended version.
Or if we ever used it enough to warrant the expense, we could go via the upgrade version from Elements for about $865 online. Not that I see that happening anytime soon, though.

omg, I have the proof that the Zombies have taken over WC , TAKE A LOOK HERE

Not to worry. The trial version is enough. I could never justify the expense. I have my 7.0 and I have The Gimp plus a few other nice 3D programs. That's enough for me.

Yup Elements 4 and PSP x2 is about all we'll ever need to splash out any bucks on... not that I use either a lot these days. I have arthritis in my mouse hand and I find it difficult to use such programs at times because of stiffness, cramps and carpal tunnel-like issues. I dunno swapping hands would help much, either... similar issues and adapting to the other hand after all these (57) years would probably take an eternity, as in an old dog learning new tricks.

But old dogs have an advantage. The learning curve is much gentler. It's just a matter of keeping the other half from laughing out loud when the mouse squeaks from being squeezed too hard.

I never thought of that! Might have to lay a few mouse traps around the place.... it'll help alleviate picking up the wrong mouse and have the missus cracking herself up laughing.

Politicos take heed. The Zombies want you. Not for your brains ... Oh no .... they want the perks. The pretty floozies, the fat wallets, bungaloes in Tahiti, you know ... the good stuff. this way starving to undead won't bother 'em as much.
