Virtual Desktops and Hot Keys

Wednesday, July 30, 2003 by Caliban72 | Discussion: Stardock Software

Is there any way to assign a hot key combo that will activate a certain desktop using either OD Control Center or BandVM? If I use 5 desktops, I'd like to assign CTRL-ALT-1 through CTRL-ALT-5 to each respective view.

Any ideas on how to do this or if it's even possible?

I am not sure, but I heard some about some program from stardock let you assign key combo's... not sure, thought it was in the 'WC frontpage' a day ago, or frogboy talked about it... I will check it up

Keyboard Launchpad does not have this capability. The only very klunky way of getting this to work (sort of) is to anchor an application to each desktop and assigning a hotkey to each one. Blah!

I do know that liteSTEP has a shortcut option, and also works with difrend desktops, but if you are thinking to switch to liteSTEP then I suggest you to talk to JAFO first, as liteSTEP replaces the explorer.exe with a custom shell.

Actually focusing on using what's wrapped up in Object Desktop. I'm trying to make it work with what I've got.
