tooltips in windows and especially SS are driving me CRAZY!

I have done numerous reg edits and settings changes but they are still everywhere.They REALLY piss me off.Anyone know how to turn them off.I am willing to hack my system.

yrag had a good prog suggestion in this thread. The problem I had was it turned off more than I wanted. I had gotten used to certain tool tips and ballons but after awhile I got used to it. I have since turned everything back on. Its worth a try. I was never able (or didn't find the setting) to disable the tips you are talking about though.
Im gonna try the X -setup when I confirm that I will have no issues running two seperate tweaking tools.

go to run,type gpedit.msc many,many windows settings(just not one that works for this)

go to start >> run then type in "gpedit.msc" (no quotes) and that will give you access to the Group Policy Editor
This will not work in XP Home
