Okay, so could someone tell me just how I got teeth marks on my foot?
Tuesday, August 24, 2010 by Philly0381 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
From time to time a communtiy member has found the need to post a thread explaining thier actions/words/behavior, or not.
My excuse, I'm old, I open my mouth without engaging my brain and insert my foot.
Most recently it seems that I've been doing that in IRC, but I'm sure I've done it also in the forums.
To those community members that have taken offense from my behavior I offer you my sincere apology.
I believe one thing that possibly I forget, and maybe some others also, is that the online community is no different from the actual community we live in. We all carry a very sharp tool with us at all times, our tongue. The words that come out of our mouths can also be very sharp.
I will now go find my pointy hat and stool and sit in the corner for the appropriate amount of time. Will someone please let me know if they are getting ready to leave and are turning out the lights? I get scared in the dark.

I carry a big sharp pocket knife.
Better clean that up or it might start to smell...
Seriously Philly, I'm sure whatever your referring to will blow over. You are a fine community member.

Often times I'll type out a reply then delete it.
Sometimes I'll read a proposed reply to my wife and she'll let me know if I'm about to make a jackass of myself.

Philly don't feel bad, I put my foot in my mouth so often I'm beginning to like the taste of toe jam.

Philly, you are one of the nicest people I know. I don't recall ever seeing you put your foot in your mouth. I think everyone here knows that you are a good guy and your intentions are good as well.
Don't sweat the small stuff......and it's ALL small stuff.

All of us have suffered from Foot-in-Mouth Disease at one time or another. From my plentiful experience, time is the best cure. Whatever the issue is/was, this to shall pass.
At least you didn't bite yourself on the forehead.

Been there Bro. Like Xiandi said...don't sweat it. There is not one of us who has not tasted the...ugh...toe jam at one time or another. So...take heart. You could go down in the WC archives and keep starkers company. Just think...toe jams and starker barks. Eeeeww...yuck!

Can't have been too deep....cos when that happens [on these forums] the foot injuries are accompanied by foot imprints in one's rear......

Pilly, the only problem I've ever had with you is the butchering of my nick that you seem so adept at!
That said, I have to agree with Xiandi and Syd. Jhon, you're a real suite guy!

Everyone has foot in mouth disease as some time. I haven't seen anything of note recently.
If it gets serious a swift tolchock to the nads is enough to get someone back on the s&n

It is funny how some things we do or say on review don't look or sound very good. That's the reason for this thread.
Just want to say thank you to everyone.

Philly your post really made me smile.... as others have pointed out, everyone puts their foot and sometimes both feet in their mouth at some time.... and you really are one of the nicest people here...and as I would say to my granddaughter... * time out * is over, go and play!!

You'll have to do something offensive before we can be offended.

Wiz might take offense...
Relax John...
"Oh the comfort of feeling safe with a person Of having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words But pouring them all out, wheat and chaff together, Knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them Keeping what is worth keeping and, with a breath of kindness... Blow the rest away."

"If Barbie is so popular, why do
you have to buy her friends?" - Unknown
And one I do find heartening: My friends accept me for things I cannot accept within myself.
The best advice (which I so rarely take, much to my and others' chagrin) was given to me by WebGizmos: "I generally write my responses to things in Notepad, read and reread it several times, correcting and changing here and there and then add smilies." (paraphrased)
Of course, that doesn't explain his screw-ups.
So relax, John. Those who know you....hmmm....I'll rephrase that....where's that damned Notepad.....
