How do you change the canvas size of the START button??

Monday, May 3, 2004 by What Man | Discussion: Skinning

I'm trying to edit this skin's start button: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=longhorn+slate+4051&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&library=1 but when I don't know how to make the canvas size smaller ( when I say canvas I mean the area of which the image is shown, not shrinking the entire image itself ). At first I suspected that you edit the margins of the image, but when I changed that, nothing seemed to change. Please help, I'm sorry I'm such a noob. Thanks.

You should open the image with an image editing program, and physically cut it down to the size you want. Just make sure all segments of the button are the same size, since there will be more than one state displayed in your image editor. Hmm...that may be confusing. Just try it, and I'll help more if you need it.
