IE Throbbers

Sunday, April 4, 2004 by Satans Child | Discussion: Skinning

I know you can change the throbbers with webblinds. Is there any way to change them with windowblinds, the ms flag is so annoying and old.

Don't know if Window- or WebBlinds can do this, but Y'z Toolbar can. So at least it's possible, I really hope it gets implemented if not yet.

There's a section for throbers in SkinStudio when working on Window Blinds, but I can't say I've tried it to make sure if it works. I vaguely remember reading something in the history file for either SS or WB saying that the feature had been removed, but I'm not sure on that.

If you have SkinStudio and WB, give it a go and let us know

I know in web blinds you could change the throbber from a menu, I couldn't do it in SS without extensive time. When I changed the All Programs button on the start menu it took me almost 5 hours even with the EXACT info to do it now that is pathetic

Satans Child - it's not pathetic...I've spent longer than that fighting various bits of SS and WB recently, and still not managed to get them to work. The All Programs thing is a bit odd (I assume you mean the tip of using a large arrow graphic to cover the text area?)...most skins don't use it, and quite possibly because it's tricky to get right

I'm working on finding a system to align the graphic for the "All Programs" button. Its a long process and I havent found any relations yet.

Well good luck to everyone trying to find that solution, it sure would make things easier when I'm actually gonna get the nerve to adjust another skin. It sure would make it easier for me.

CerebroJD - it seems related to font size I noticed...which makes it extra tricky as the user can over-ride the fonts used if they choose which "breaks" it

It would be cool if Stardock could add this as a fully supported feature the same as they've now added a "remove user icon" option. What we want is a "remove "all programs text"

That would be cool. Annoying about the font thing though.
