Question about UI

I have been playing around with my friend's computer that has 1.9 plus installed and windows xp pro. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I was wondering if there were any UI differences between XP and Windows 7 since windows 7 has a lot of cool visual features built into it already does the dock uses these? For example I noticed on his machine on his dock he had a star button but the way it kind of popped up was not very attractive, same if you have open window icons on your dock and they are grouped.. like 2 open firefox windows when you click the icon on the dock the way the list of open windows pops up isnt really attractive. Also in 2.0 is there an option to show both sys tray items AND open windows? it seems in 1.9 you can do one or the other? Also is there a way say if I have my computer icon on my dock that when you click it, it opens a stacked dock of the contents?
