I need help with a few things

Thursday, January 29, 2004 by Killer_Thigh | Discussion: Skinning

I need to change the color of my text when you highlight the buttons at the top of the Menubar (The buttons that would be at the top of the window when in a program such as SkinStudio.) I can't figure out how to change the color, I don't see an option when in SkinStudio, but I know it can be done. I have another question. In the task panel section for the background, such as the music, search, movie, my pictures background I want to change the color that surrounds the picture. You can do this easily with the control panel background, but I can't figure out how to do this with the other backgrounds. Thanks

I have another question, on my tree view expanders, when I click on it, instead of showing the other one, it overlaps it. Any thoughts? Thanks

I need to change the color of my text when you highlight the buttons at the top of the Menubar

Right Tree > Bar Items.
Left Tree > Text Settings

In the task panel section for the background, such as the music, search, movie, my pictures background I want to change the color that surrounds the picture.

Right Tree > Special Panel Content.
Left Tree >  Colors > Border Color.

on my tree view expanders, when I click on it, instead of showing the other one, it overlaps it.

Could we see a screenshot?

For the text color: I click on Bar Items and over on the side there is no "Text Settings" section. There is Margins and Painting Method.

On the second one I want to change for example ShellStyle.LargeMusic

I'll take a screenshot after I get these 2 delt with. Thanks

What version of SkinStudio are you using?

For the ShellStyle Large Music, I have no idea what you mean by the color that surronds the picture, unless you mean the background of the image. In that case, it's part of the image.

I don't see text settings. The picture in the top right is what I see when I click on bar items.

I have another question too. When I go over my scrollbar it doesn't change to the mouseover frame, it stays the same. Is there any way to fix this?

It's going to be really tough to help you since the current version is 4.

there is a setting for enabling mouseover states for the scrollbar,I think its under painting options...make sure it is enabled.

as for the text settings,if its a skinned window, the attributes should be visible if you click on one of the menubar buttons in the preview(works for me),if its an unskinned window, the colors will be in the classic colors settings.
