Giveaway of the Day

For the next 24 hours the full (and latest) version of Nexus Ultimate worth $24.95 will be available FREE from Give Away of the Day. If you ever wondered how Nexus Ultimate compares to other docks in the market, now is your chance to find out!

Nexus Ultimate is one of the most attractive, powerful and flexible docks available today, boasting just about every feature you’d expect from a dock and much more: widgets, mouse-over effects, skins, drag-and-drop, and even live icon reflections, background blur, system tray and tasklist support, etc. Completely customizable, Nexus Ultimate has thousands of backgrounds freely available online and is fully compatible with backgrounds for all 3rd party docks.

Terms and conditions

Please note that the Nexus Ultimate version you download and install during the Giveaway period comes with the following important limitations: 1) No free upgrades to future versions; 2) Strictly personal usage.

Note also that this version allows the following upgrades:

  • to Winstep Xtreme (a single easy-to-install package featuring all of Winstep’s popular desktop enhancement products for Windows) for only $14.95 (normal price for Winstep Xtreme is $39.90).
  • to the next release of Nexus Ultimate (which includes free upgrades for a whole year) for only $12.50 (i.e. 50% discount, normal price for Nexus Ultimate is $24.95).
  • FAQ:

    Q) What's the catch?
    A) No catch, other than those described in Terms and Conditions above. Giveaway of the Day are sponsoring Nexus Ultimate for 24 hours.

The goal of this promotion is also to 1) extend awareness of Winstep products outside the Windows Customization community and 2) hope people will like this software so much that they'll upgrade either to Winstep Xtreme or to the next version of Nexus Ultimate.

    Q) Does the Nexus Ultimate version available from Giveaway of the Day contain any Spyware or Adware?
    A) Absolutely NOT! You can download Nexus Ultimate from Giveaway of the Day in full confidence, but you MUST install and register the software within the 24 hours promotion period - after that the Setup application will not allow you to install the promotional version of Nexus Ultimate.

    Q) Is there any functional difference between the version of Nexus Ultimate at Giveaway of the Day and the one I get when I purchase it from the Winstep web site?
    A) No.

    Q) How do I download Nexus Ultimate from Giveaway of the Day?
    A) Go to their site here and click on the 'Download Nexus Ultimate Now' link. Please make sure to read the README file included with the installation program for instructions on how to register Nexus Ultimate after installation.

I was surprised too when Winstep showed up in the package. Too bad I gotta miss out on the cheap upgrade. Anyway...beats a blank.

Damn! Now that I was *just about* to increase the price.

    Make it retrospective, Jorge....

    "retroactive".  .......

Actually, WorkShelf was in the package, not Winstep.

Kind of normal, as Nexus, Nexus Ultimate, WorkShelf and NextSTART are all sub-sets of Winstep Xtreme.

It's still amazing the alternate names people come up with: Nexus Xtreme, Xtreme Ultimate, Winstep Ultimate, Winshelf, Nextstep. Makes providing support for those products just a little bit more difficult, as you have to figure out what they are *actually* running, hehe.

I had seen this over there and got it as well. Looks interesting, but I had already bought Objectdock Plus 2.0 beta since I owned Windowblinds, Iconpackager, and CursorFX Plus and wanted to make a complete set.

    No,

    retrospective ....

Sorry, mate... retroactive, as in a statute... that's the meaning of the sentence, and retrospective implies looking backwards....your intention was to make the price retroactive. A price is non sentient and cannot look backwards and therefore is retroactive..no squirm room.

I think DrJBHL is right, Jafo.

    Sorry.

Ah, inertia... Amazing how resistent to change people are. If you got it already, don't just 'look' at it... try it!

See what you've been missing all this time for being so difficult? And that wasn't too painful, was it? hehe
