Word OD link won't work.

OK, I know there are threads with 300 posts out there but want to ask this in a new one to see if I'm doing something wrong. I have been using OD for a long time OD2 beta. I was waiting for the new update to come out which did last week to see if mu problem was corrected but it wasn't. I use Microsoft 2003 quite a bit and for all my email when I click on new mail. Running Win7 -64. It also doesn't matter what dock I use it all.
When I boot the computer the link on OD works fine the first time. After I close it and try to open it again from OD it will not open and in order to get it working I have to close OD or reboot the computer and than it will only open once again. I usually just go to Add-Shortcut-Document Editor Shortcut. I have also placed an icon on my desktop and dragged it to the dock. Makes no difference as it will still only work once. Any suggestions wiould be appreciated.

Thanks Bichur. I had already tried that and it didn't work. I did remove Word from the dock and just tried it again but it was a no go. It's the only folder or program that does this. It's like works once and done till a reboot.

In the Dock Icon Properties under Link it shows correctly.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE

drag the .exe of the program to OD
