got a photoshop question

to anyone that knows how to use photoshop:
i see like in the dock icon previews sumtimes, that they ahve a reflection, but that reflection also fades when its getting closer to the bottom. can someone tell me how to do that....i know how to do the reflection, its just the fading thats the problem
