Menubar size in SkinStudio

Monday, November 3, 2003 by eieio | Discussion: Skinning

Anyone know why the default MenuBar in SkinStudio is sized so oddly? It is 320X13 consisting of 2 frames, each sized at 320X6. What happens to the extra pixel in height?
Also, does anyone know what the true size should be?

Actually it consist of only 1 image size 320 X 13. The size that actually gets divided is the lenght, NOT the height. The default image is gradiented light to dark from left to right. The half that is lighter acts as the active bar, the half that's dark acts as the inactive bar. Very different than the task and frame bars, but thats how it works.
The size may vary according to what the author wants. I never make mines any bigger than 16 pix in height or any smaller than 12. For the most part I go with the default size

Thanks, Apocalypse. It is confusing because when you hover over the Menubar listing in the right pane, it gives you the sizes I listed above. I knew that didn't sound right! That explains why, when I went and made the image an even # of pixels high, it didn't seem to change anything.
I appreciate the tip!
