How do you delete a skin?
Friday, July 23, 2010 by Z71 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
I just noticed, there isn't a delete button any where, that I can find.
Is this just an over site or do we have to email someone now?

It seems to me that we have been waiting for that feature to be given back to us and I feel it's unacceptable that we have had to wait so long. Come on already...enough is enough
Unless there aren't any plans on giving us the option to delete our skins at will. In which case I would like someone to step forward and say it.

DITTO Again. It has been a very long time since this has been mentioned in the past. Agree with Tim also to the fact just let us know if the delete button will ever be added. Someone must know so speak up please.

As I don't speak for stardock, I don't know if and when it will be back. But read #1 for the meantime.

A skin delete feature as we had on the old site (fond memories) would be most welcome. It would allow us uploaders to tidy up our galleries and remove stuff that clearly after many moons nobody wants.

Are you people asleep? right click on the skin in the wb window and a drop down menu will appear and click on delete!

It's on the to-do list, but no time frame as of now.

No, it's something that should be in the site like it was.

The question has been answered. Now when the site programmers get to this item on the 'to-do' list hasn't been determined as yet.
In the meantime contacting an admin (Island_Dog - Jafo) or one of the moderators (WOM, Lantec, myself) either through a PM or in IRC will get any requests for deletion on skins done.
We (Mods) have done so on several occasions for several skinners.

I already asked in some occasion.Sometimes skin has been deleted, sometimes not.How does it work?
I really think it's just time to REINTRODUCE an option that NEVER should have been erased!!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here! I don't have anything to delete YET!? But Is there a to do list for determining when to add the decision on when to determine whether or not to determine if we will or will not put back that which we determined to change, knowing if we determined to omit it, it will determinatebly cause us, the moderators more consternation and wasted time that could have been spent on keeping the site flowing. Hind site is always better than foresight. In the future before whoever decides this-Ask the members what functions should and can we delete without causing MORE problems. That is forethought! " Now when the site programmers get to this item on the 'to-do' list hasn't been determined as yet". Not trying to rush people past important must do stuff as we do not know the inner workings of ongoing site problems and the amount of time to fix more important stuff will involve. We KNOW the Temporary fix, & as I have heard from others Happens extremely slowly or gets forgotten but the answer is double speak! It's better yet to say, We made a mistake by eliminating it and will get it back up as soon as the programmers can get to it, please bear with us as this might take some time, until then please follow the following procedure, and if you see no results within a reasonable time contact the moderators again, we will do all we can to assist you. I know the moderators can get a hard time from people un-necessarily as even now I don't know everything and may ask a question that was answered somewhere else, BUT even if we search for an answer to something sometimes we can't find an answer tho it's there. My apoligies for your pain. But your answer is not appropriate and is rude, blows people off and is insensitive. Tart replies only piss people off. I can try to imagine what you deal with everyday and would sometimes take great restraint but you are REPRESENTATIVES and must regardless of the problem deal in a manner that disarms any potential flareup. PR is everything. If bad can destroy a site and or Company. Is there a Not To Do list? Might be time TODO that and make it policy. If it works Don't FIX it! It will save more space on the forums for more practical questions and progress vs digress. I still love you! And yes I do appreciate your help. OCT 19th

My "bumping" of this thread may have come across as a bit.........loud. Sorry.
My point was that never have we actually gotten a straight answer from an actual site developer as to whether this function is intentionally left out (never to return) or is coming (hey chill guys, we're getting to it)
They say that no news is good news.........but that is not always the case
Thanks for responding with grace, ID
