Since I have received a number of requests for comments on how to do this and was alwas forced to redirect them to Mike, I've decided to dig into the subject and write an article about.You will find the article together with the rest of my WindowBlinds (and some other Stardock software) tips in my Blog
Make sure not to overloook the WindowBlinds Shell Animation library after you create them

Would Animation Shop that comes with PaintShop Pro work as well?

if it can create an RLE-8 compressed AVIs I suppose yes.

Though, you still need to buy PSP, while this app is free.
