I think the same thing happened to me, but I can't understand it either.

One of three things could be the problem, when you submitted them the box to only send them to your personal page might of gotten checked in error, they didn't get enough stars from the moderators or the upload system is acting up. 

Let me see if I can find someone that can help.

EDIT:  Jafo is in IRC I posted a link to see if he might have an answer.

They have not been moderated yet, moderation can take up to 5 days.

From taking a look at the walls on your site, from Upload Guidelines (specific for walls)

"Wallpapers of the same design with slight variations must be bundled into a .zip file."

Taking another look, Maltese Cross is there twice( same wall ), one that is a zip file with 2 1920x1200 and 2 2560x1600 in it, the other you have uploaded the 1920x1200 jpg for download. Sun Burst and 3D Sun Burst are also the same, one 1200x800jpg and one 1920x1200 jpg, these should be zipped together. Maybe PM Jafo and get him to help you clean this up.

The only reason there are similar uploads on my site I kept trying to get them to show up hopefully I can get some psoted so others can see my begining work as I try to design Walls

No need to keep uploading, due to your access/user level the walls must go thru moderation which as above can take 5 days.

They also need to have a rating of at least 2 1/2 stars to get into the gallery. Otherwise......PPE.

Not saying yours don't meet the rating Old Msgt. Just info.

Now I am getting pissed at SD I uploaded the walls, I never checked load to my personal page only. However after they were approved that is where they are I would like some one from SD to explain this I wanted them to shown to everyone not just my site on stardock

It appears that the walls now have a rating and it looks like they did not get rated high enough to get into the WC Gallery Library.  You should have received an email letting you know that they were going to your personal page.  Did you get one for each wall?

OldMsgt ... I checked your wallpaper submissions and will have to agree with their being placed in your personal gallery rather than the general one.

Not all images make good/appropriate desktop backgrounds as many can be too busy/distracting or cause confusion with desktop icon placement/finding, etc.

Image creation/experimentation is typically more appropriate on an artists' site such as Deviantart.com where any/all created images are accepted.

Wincustomize.com's wallpaper gallery is intended specifically for [suitable] wallpapers...

Well I quit what I submitted is as good as what I have seen on this site. I will have to think about my subscription renewals as they come up. You still ahve not explained who makes the arbitrary decision on how they are rated decision on how they are rated for display on the WC wall site

Also How do I remove them from my site. I tried and I thought my work was good, in fact another wall maker told me the walls were excellent and this person has posted at least 4000 walls I would consider this persons opinion as valid

Wallpapers are voted on by the moderators and then a Stardock employee will either post them to the public gallery, your Personal Page or exile them.

Wallpaper Moderation

WinCustomize has a moderated wallpaper gallery.  That means all submissions, with the exception of Journeyman and above, are placed in moderation and selected submissions will be made available in the public gallery.  If a wallpaper is not accepted into the public gallery, it will be placed on your personal site on WinCustomize.  Rejections will only occur if the piece violates any of the said rules such as ripping, copyrights, etc.

Our guidelines for judging wallpapers on aesthetic grounds are difficult to be specific about. The prime directive for wallpapers is that they must WORK as a wallpaper, in other words the design should be an effective desktop background, which includes: The background is not too busy and icons are easy to see against it, Colors are not too bright to be distracting, and colors work well together. There are many subjective design related preferences we all have and some objective qualifications as well, such as the quality of the rendering and the resolution size offered. And then there is the composition, the subject matter, the overall balance of the design, etc.

Probably the best way to decide what we like to see in a wallpaper would be to browse through the section and look at what has been accepted. We recommend to everyone submitting wallpapers to try to only send a piece after living with it on their own desktop for a while first. Put as much work and critical evaluation into the piece as you can before sending it to us.

A few examples of what will never get through moderation:

• Britney Spears or other celebrity wallpapers (see note about copyright above)
• Bryce art, unless the result is so astonishing that one could never tell it was done in Bryce.
• Dolphins, palm trees, metal spheres or other over-used elements
• XP-related walls, unless really innovative/original.
• Copyrighted photos/images
• Confused composition...e.g....3D artwork with conflicting light-sources belying the form.
• A ground-swell of negativity from a significant number of admins.

keep in mind we do not moderate Journeyman or above and some of the walls posted after reaching that status would not likely have made it through moderation into the public gallery.

Typically at least 3 moderators will cast an opinion on a wall's submission and its fate is a majority determination.

It is the nature of the beast that each artist will consider his work 'good', however "another wall maker" may not be as forthright with criticism as to not ruffle feathers/hurt feelings. [relatively] anonymous critique/moderation is always going to be more honest.

If it's simply a question of whose opinion is more valid well that will be those charged with the moderation process who, by the way have been doing this for quite some considerable years [as one whose UserID number is so low would reasonably be expected to already be aware]....

Now how do I remove all my work on walls from my site. I will only download as the person who told me my work is as good as any posted is one of your top 10 Skinners of walls. I value their opinion instead of the arbitrary opinion you and canned response with the rules you posted. I am now going to be much more critical of the work I see posted 5 stars are going to be a rarity unless work is truly beyond outstanding

Please remove all my walls from my site if they are not good enough to be on WC then I do not want other going to my site and viewing them

The top skinners lists are by downloads only, nothing to do with quality, someone with thousands of walls in that list would have a low average download per wall.

As for the 4000, I think that you are overstating but remember Quality wins over Quantity all the time.

No that person has 5000 skins posted and is Jr master skinner, or something like that. I value that persons skill and opinion

Where are you getting these numbers or have you added an extra zero for effect. There is only one person in the top 20 for walls that has submitted over 1000 walls.

Everyone how has submitted walls here has most likely had some sent to their personal gallery only, I have.
