Excluded app in WB7 reverts to Vista Basic

Monday, June 21, 2010 by Benjamin Cowgill | Discussion: WindowBlinds

Should this happen.  I am running WB 7.01 on Win7 Home Premium. I downloaded and applied the Win7 sub-theme of Stealth (a great theme).  I had to exclude one application completely from WB, because it kept hanging up.  As an excluded app, it has an ugly "Vista Basic" title bar rather than an Aero bar.

Shouldn't the excluded app appear in Aero when it's excluded from WB?  Or does WB covert everything to Basic before applying its skin?

The excluded app is practice management program I use every day (Time Matters), so I hate looking at it in Basic.  It has no trouble with Aero Vista effects when WindowBlinds is not running.

Help!  Thanks!

Not sure about Vista/7 but on XP when a skin is excluded Windows classic look is how it is skinned not XP Luna, I would think it is the same for Vista/7.

You could try the "Only skin this applications titlebar" option which should in theory give you what you are asking for. In practice however this option never seems to work for me (WB skins the entire app with this option on, or seems to anyway).
