OSNews.com has a great article that talks about how Apple has usurped a lot of the business SGI used to have in Hollywood movies. Remember when SGI was almost synonymous with special effects houses? Increasingly, Apple is moving into that field.
Even here at Stardock we've been tempted to use Apple servers for game rendering. Mac servers are becoming increasingly easy to cluster together and gain all the other advantages that Linux clusters have without having to be a Linux techie to do it. Follow the link for the full story.
