Regarding Longhorn Ports
Friday, June 4, 2010 by 3java3 | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I am really enjoying using Windowblinds 7. I was looking for a Longhorn skin, but I cannot seem to find one to my liking. They all seem to be missing something, or something doesn't seem quite right. There is a visual style you can find on Deviantart, called, Longhorn Aero BMX or is it BXM? Anyway, that might be my favorite Longhorn theme, and it would be nice if someone can port that over to Windowblinds. This is not that big of deal, but this skin does have a scroll bar that in my opinion, should have been used in Vista and Windows 7, as the default scrollbar. But then again, it's a moot issue, since I am using Windowblinds 7 and can easily change to a different skin.
If anyone is looking for a great theme that is wonderful for common day to day usage, I heartily recommend "Morph". It's clean, somewhat minimalistic, but very colorful with the right use of the color changer.............you can adapt the skin to look kinda of like Office 2007 or 2010, or you can choose a different color that is more to your liking. Anyway, I just wanted to recommend "Morph".

Are you referring to Morph? Haven't noticed any scrollbar issues, but it's definitely not superbar ready. It was a nice design for the taskbar buttons on a normal taskbar, but with the oversized superbar with the larger icons...they don't fit properly on the button. Would be nice if Shawn could update it (I've poked him).

You're right. I made a visual error when comparing the screenshot to my application of the skin.

Thanks for poking him... but you know what they say about waking a sleeping giant.

Hi folks, the thought occurred to me that if there is a question about the Superbar, in Windows 7, you can modify the taskbar to make it more like Vista. That should solve the problem with Morph, in my opinion, unless I am mistaken about something. Just a thought. Myself, I didn't notice any problem, and I am running Win 7.

Thanks for the recommendation, I don't know how this one got by me. It's really cool. I definitely would run it for a while, but after trying it on for size... I realized it is not ready for Windows7.
It's got major Scrollbar & Taskbar issues and a few other minor ones.
