http://sonique.lycos.com/sonique2/At long last, Sonique2 Beta is here, and henceforth, we unleash the power of the Mantis Graphics Engine upon the world like a tornado of Swoob. Here are just some of the new features you will find:
-New interface with maximum functionality and swoob
-New and vastly improved playlist
-Right-Click Menu
-Detachable windows
-Multiple color themes for default interface
-Video support
-Interface Browser for changing skins and remotes
-All powered by the Mantis graphics engine, which enables endless interface possibilities.
Here's a link to the (tiny) screenshot....which does no justice to how cool this mp3 player is!
KNOWN ISSUES: High CPU usage...which IS being taken care of ASAP.
I suggest everyone try it....with the help of a GREAT community, one official programmer, one official interface developer helped make this player rise from the dead!
BELIEVE THE SWOOB!!!!!

The original development team was fired...their was a leaked alpha that made the rounds and the Sonique community petitioned TerraLycos to contuinue development...TL then hired ONE person to develop the player...so, in essence, they had to learn MANTIS and then update it...then they eventually hired an interface designer to make this AWESOMELY ORIGINAL default skin...the future looks bright to be sure:)

At least!
I have been waiting for this 2 years, each day checking the forums at their website and downloading each of the betas.
Thanks John! (John Colton is the "Lone Coder" for Sonique2)

It would be so great if you would make skins for Sonique2!!!!! Talk about giving those naysayers a kick in the ass! A skin from you, imho, would really be a boost!

I heard that skinning for sonique's new engine is really great and intuitive and stuff, so I'm sure we'll see some great skins for it.

Atleast their alpha's were pretty darn good. Thier skinning engine is also pretty sweet.
