Farewell, my dear, friend
Ed has passed away

With a very heavy heart, Ed's family has requested that I share with you that Ed (angus1949) passed away last Friday, May 21, 2010. He is now, finally, at peace. His wife, Linda, and their daughters request that you respect their privacy and give them time. There is going to be a small family memorial for Ed at his home tomorrow evening...I have been invited and plan to attend.
My heart is so heavy....Ed was my best friend. We shared joy, laughter, pain, and tears. He was one of the kindest persons I have ever met. He would give the shirt off his back for you if he could. My life was so much richer for having him in my life. I miss him dearly.
If you want to express your wishes to his family, you can PM me and I will print them out and take them to Linda. She is not very computer literate...I will be spending time with her to teach her how to do things on her computer.

Ed will be missed here at WC. He has brought joy to all our lives and I for one will miss his humor, and I think he liked me too, he was always poking fun at the redneck...lol. I send my prayers to his family. I will mourn their loss. Doc has been telling me he hasn't been able to make contact, and I was worried.
Ed, we love you, and you'll always be a part of my life, Jim.

I am so saddened to read this. Ed was extremely helpful to me on this site. I found him to be interested, patient and encouraging. He always talked to you, never down to you, a real gentleman. Farewell for now dear Ed.

Sad new. He was such a sweet guy and will be missed dearly. Please send my heartfelt condolences to his family.

He was such a fine fellow indeed and will be missed by many. My goodness, what a sad day it is after hearing such news. I am sure God is well aware of the goodness he now has in his hands and will give Ed the beautiful peace that he deserves.

Even though I'm not that familiar ( I've seen his postings) I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family/friends and hope that all prayers and blessings befall them all during this time.

I had been trying and trying to reach him and feared the worst, as we said.
I am very saddened. Po', Karen, Jim, Patrick, Mark, Philly and I had planned to put together a memorial to him. I hope this will pull folks together a bit closer. I know Ed would have wanted it that way.
Paul....a very deep and special thank you to you and the guys. Bless your hearts one and all. You totally surprised and delighted him.
He wrote something very succinct and touching:
"I'm going to watch from the sidelines for awhile my friend. I don't want to miss too much and would like to learn some of W7 desktops using Windowblinds.
I just entered Hospice care a few weeks ago and have had a terrible adjustment. It is better care than I was getting on the outside only with a shorter outcome date. I LOVE you all and everything you do. Stay in agreement with each other as much as possible, and drink up every draft of life."
'Bye, Ed. It sure was fun for a while. Hope you're where you always wanted to be.
Linda, and the girls....all my love. I'm terribly sorry for your loss....He was a much and greatly loved man.

He will be greatly missed here by many and was a true friend to all. My condolences to his family.
