For me it is. I only need one version of a dock, either it's going to be OD 2.0, which I'm comfortable with (based on my time with 1.9), or I'm going to go with the NeXus dock.
Well, I'm willing to wait. I've put in my money and my time with this dock, and I'd hate to jump ship because of time. 1.9 does what I need, 2.0 seems like it's going to be good. The free NeXus seems cool, but I'm not currently willing to drop 25 bucks to test the NeXus Ultimate dock until I know that I'm not happy with OD 2.0.
It is pretty amazing. It's a shame that Jeff B. is so talented that he gets pulled in so many directions for Stardock. I can't imagine how wicked OD would be if that was all Jeff had to work on.

Yes, it was a very inteligent decision, from a business point-of-view, to make users pay for the very first OD 2.0 beta based only on a handful of screenshots. Once their money has been invested users are commited and, essentially, have no choice but to wait for the final release - however long it takes. Smart.

The Nexus dock is awesome Jorge! And I have 7 years and close to 400 docks invested in OD 1.9!

The native Modules/Docklets in Winstep applications also feature the same attention to detail Winstep is well-known for: for instance, the Net Meter modules also allow you to monitor which applications are using your LAN connection, which port they are connected to, kill unwanted connections, etc..., and can also show you a mind boggling array of TCP/UDP stats regarding each Network Interface Card.
The clock module is not only able to show you the time in analog or digital formats, as it is also able to synch your system time to the Internet Atomic Time servers *and* tell you the current time in plain English (male and female voices available).
The Desktop versions of the CPU and RAM meters (only available in Winstep Xtreme, sorry) are also able to show you at a glance which applications are using the most CPU and RAM at that point in time, etc...
You can expect the same level of features and attention to detail from future Winstep modules.

Looks like there are already very cool docklets!
If I may suggest, as a humble developer of few SysStats docklets, it's nice to have CPU/RAM/Virtual Memory in one docklet (virtual memory is also an important factor for performance). I also suggest Net in & out in one docklet with IP as a bonus (just to save some dock space). Another nice docklet is one that shows HD space for few drives & opens my computer with a click.
Those are all docklets I created (or modified) so I'll personally miss them.
I'll also miss my beloved MoonPhase docklet.
Anyway, I must say, this dock looks like the ultimate winner! Finally live reflection in Windows, amazing set of features & best support that listens to the users ... Thanks for your brilliant work JcRabbit !!!

Hm, although I have Winstep Xtreme I can't figure out how to get sub-docks in Nexus. or is that another license ???

Are you running Winstep Xtreme 9.5 or 10.4? Reason I'm asking is because the UI was completely redone in 10.4 and the way you do things is different. If you're still running 9.5, you really, really should upgrade to 10.4 (in beta mainly because the documentation is still being updated).

Great how you can have an infinite number of nested sub-docks, no?
Don't forget you also have the Shelf (a feature of both Winstep Xtreme and Nexus Ultimate), which is also a great way to categorize programs:
Unlike most tabbed docks out there which are only able to hold shortcuts dragged into it, the Winstep Shelf is also capable of displaying the contents of special shell folders such as the Desktop, My Computer, Control Panel, Recent Documents, and so forth... It's even able to display the contents of folders in your hard drive, which you can then manipulate via drag & drop as usual.
Note also how the Shelf makes it possible to have a 'clean', uncluttered, desktop with no icons on it whatsoever. Just tell Nexus Ultimate/Winstep Xtreme to hide the desktop icons - and then quickly access them via the Desktop tab. Another nice feature is that you can associate a keyboard shortcut to a tab to make the Shelf simultaneously come to the foreground *and* open that particular tab for quick access.

I'm liking this more and more...I'm finding it harder and harder not to just go ahead and pony up the dough.

I need to start getting a bit more active in this (and other) forums. Most people don't realize how much functionality is crammed into Winstep applications - that above is only scratching the surface.
It kills me every time I see someone requesting an ObjectDock feature which has been part of Nexus/Winstep Xtreme for years, and not beeing able to say 'Hey, Nexus does that already'. Thing is, Stardock doesn't interfere with my threads, I don't interfere with theirs.
But nothing stops me from talking about Nexus and Winstep software on my own threads.

According to Stardock, you will have to wait until next Fall then - Jeff is a great developer, but there is only one of him and he is tied up to a lot of projects right now.
