Winstep Nexus Help
Monday, April 26, 2010 by Deea19 | Discussion: Community
I have installed Winstep Nexus free yesterday and i must say I like it very much so far. The only problem I have is that I can't find a way to save my customization: my dock+my icons+indicator into a single theme. I had this option in Objectdock but i can't find it here. Can somebody please help me?

Thank you very much JcRabbit. That's exacly what i needed since I change my configuration often. And thank you also for the pre-release, I'm glad the bug with the indicator-CPU meter is fixed. This is a great dock ![]()

Winstep themes have always separated 'content' from looks - this was unique to Winstep for quite a while and meant that Winstep themes were screen resolution independent, for one.
If what you want is a way to 'save' your current configuration for yourself (which includes dock contents, icons and current theme being used, etc...) simply use the Backup option in the Advanced tab of Nexus Preferences. This will not move or copy your icons into a theme file (i.e.; it is not intended to be used as a way to distribute themes) but will allow you to quickly switch between different dock configurations and settings (provided the icons, theme and dock shortcuts still exist in the same location when you Restore, of course).
