A hard word to pronounce.
When I first saw the name I thought it was a typo. Its Icelandic for island mountain glacier.

Strange, I find it easy to pronounce. Maybe it's because I'm up north...

I looked it up on Wikipedia 
, it has a sound bite of someone saying it in Icelandic. What an amazing language.

We (the mighty Danish vikings) found, named and used to 'own' Iceland, so I didn't find it hard to understand/pronounce either, Fuzzy 
Well... that and having lived in Norway for a number of years... Certain Norwegian dialects and the Icelandic language ain't that far apart....
Taz.... yeah, I kinda knew you cheated. The proper Aussie to do it. Way to go, mate! hehe

If you've ever seen 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth', it's quite funny listening to Brendan Fraser gargling some Icelandic place names. Shame we never get to hear Anita Briem pronounce some names because she is from Iceland...
Yes, Icelandic is an interesting language. Sadly, the film noted above has a monumental error in its cast list. It lists Anita Briem as Hannah Ásgeirsson and her father as Sigurbjörn Ásgeirsson. Icelandic names are patriarchal, so her name should be Hannah Sigurbjörnsdöttir...

We do tend to be a bit isolated down here in Tasmania.
If we had the mountain its name might be Bob's lookout, Smoking Cap or the locals would just call it That Bastard.
Hopefully the Princess on her trips home will teach the school kids some of the Danish language, Snowman
