WinCustomize: Age Demographics from 2002 to 2003

Monday, June 23, 2003 by Frogboy | Discussion: WinCustomize News

The age demographics for WinCustomize haven't changed very much.

In 2002, the percentage of active users who were 35 to 64 in age was 39%. In 2003 it's still 39%.

We have slightly more teens on this year than last year (16% in 2002, now 21%).

See the chart for details.

I have some doubts about the info you publish:
-What is your definition for Active users?
-The increment of active users for 2003 vs 2002 was almost 33%. What about the unique visitants?
- How many users does your community have in all different levels?
- What's the average of uploaded and downloaded files a month?
- What is the download preference?
- Do you have a ranking?
Sorry about all these questions. I think it is useful to know something more about the programs we use. Besides, it broadens our general knowledge.

It was a poll with almost 2000 people. It's statistically relevant.

1532 is "almost 2000"? Talk about "rounding error".

Statistically, 100% of the people responding to the poll, responded to the poll. If you try to draw any other conclusions from it, you're wasting your time. There's a whole damned generation between 35 and 64. Grouping them together is lazy.

And I'll bet you're in that gen, right? Just don't wanna be lumped in with the grandparents, am I right?
Yep, there's a BIG difference between 35 and 64..... Hopefully by 64 you're more tolerant. And being about in the middle of that 35 to 64 spread myself, I can tell you, you're the same person at 64 as you were at 24, you've just learned not to sweat the small stuff. And this, though interesting, is small stuff. Relax...
