WinCustomize Browser updated!

Saturday, April 26, 2003 by Frogboy | Discussion: WinCustomize News

A good week for WinCustomize Subscribers. Not only did the Kryptonite suit come out:

But the long awaited massive update to the WinCustomize browser also came out which has tons of fixes and tweaks in it.

If you want to become a WinCustomize subscriber, go here: https://www.wincustomize.com/store/

WinCustomize subscribers get premium bandwidth access, unlimited downloads, at least 2 premium themes, and of course the WinCustomize browser. And the subscription lasts TWO years.

Wincustomize offers a 2 yr subscription to support this site. Subscribers get perks as noted above. The WC Skinbrowser which also is available to subscribers allows you to directly view and download skins from WC, use the messageboard, chat. I usually find the skinbrowser is a faster way to use the site than using my regular browser.

Component Manager as you know is the part of the Object Desktop subscription, somthing else altogether. If you already have OD, you already have premium WC site access and unlimited downloads.

BTW Antonio, I'd start using Stardock Central rather than CM for downloading your apps.

Sorry, My priority is to extend my sunscription to object desktop. After all ,i can only spend my money once ( for the time being I'd sooner subscribe to deviantart anyway , I never quite understood why object desktop buyers don't get the wincustomize browser free anyway , after all what better way to support stardock than to buy your software and wincustomize = stardock )

rikke, there's a version of the WC skinbrowser for nonWCsubscribers around here somewhere. It has the basic features but I'm not sure what other features the WC subscribers' version has by comparison. The WC subscription is just another revenue stream for WC in addition to the funds Stardock provides for the site.

But the new Stardock Central which is replacing OD's CM has incorporated some of the WC browser features like the discussion board and web browser, so there ya go.

I installed the Wincustomize browser on my WinNT4.0 sp6a and now I can not run the app. I receive the following error: The proceedure entry point FlashWindowEx could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.DLL... Help. For what it's worth with the latest SDC I receive the same error..

We're looking into that error on NT4. Suspect its the IRC code at the moment.

I just upgraded to the new WinCustomize browser, and it is all installed, but when I click on a skin to view it, it tells me that the page can not be displayed. Is there something else that I have to do? I have logged out and back in. I have WindowsXP.

Thanks!

I bought objectdesktop yesterday, and subscribed today. I've only used it twice, and it already looks like one of the best investments I have made. Love your programs, have revitalized my internet experience.
