I also have the Skype problem.
I can open Skype from the Systray icon. Everything works fine, except that the mouse-event "right click" seems to be catched by ObjectDock2. I can't click any buttons in Skype. I even can't close the Skype window.
I'm using Vista 64-bit.
Other problem with the start menu. Most of the time I get this error message:
StartMenu helper failed to take effect. Can not show start menu at this time, please try again.
I now use kkmenu instead. Works fine.
Again an other question: the grouping of task icons is not taking place any more. Actually, I don't like the grouping, so it's ok. But can the group function be activated or deactivated somehow?

I hope you take good care of Jeff cause if he dies Stardock is out of business. Reading this is kindof sad that one man does everything wonder what the other do stand around in awe of Jeff?
I am not saying that to be a idiot or get yelled up but from reading this forum it clearly states he does every program in your catalog. I am surprise he hasn't burnt out. What really impress me is you have any new releases at all. I think if they make OfficeSpace 2 it should be about Jeff.

Where does it say Jeff does every program?
Jeff works on a number of applications, but not every single one as that would be a bit much!

That is actually a problem with Skype itself, because their developers decided that the standard way of doing things is not good enough for them (sigh). I run into the same issue in older versions of Nexus and Winstep Xtreme.
Jeff can solve the problem by using AllowSetForegroundWindow(), instead of SetForegroundWindow(), before posting the right-click message to the Skype notification window.

This bug was reported in this thread about 3 months ago.
Count yourself lucky. There are unpatched bugs in OD that go back 3.5-4 years now...

It would be nice if, in addition to the blur and reflection settings, a setting could be added for drop shadow.
I design all of my dock skins with a drop shadow. The problem is that, when I have the blur settings applied, the blurring messes with the appearance of the shadow.
A solution could be to have independent shadow settings for the docks.
The code could be something like:
UseShadow = 1 (to indicate usage)
ShadowDirection = 120 (to indicate angle)
ShadowSize = 5 (to indicate pixel size)
ShadowStrength = 50 (to indicate % of opacity/transparency)
And these could also be turned on or off in the config.

We anticipate the ObjectDock 2 beta going well through Summer and into Fall with beta 2 in the Summer and Beta 3 during the fall.
I asked in another thread in this same forum a week ago if this was still on track. I also linked to a thread where you stated a spring bug release would probably be put out. It's the middle of summer and nothing yet. Just looking for some developer feedback.

Sorry for my bad english.... I' ll try to expose my request (i think not only mine)
1) the flyout menu
2) the possibility to change the font dimension on tab's label
3) the possibility to switch from one tab to the other tab only with mouseover (it was so handy!)
that's for the moment, but it's only a fiw that I've upgraded to the version 2
And please, don't forget the users of this program ![]()
Thanks

Love the new version but there is an annoying bug that has been around since version 1 that persists. I really value the tool tips that display on the icons on hover in a tabbed dock showing the application name. However these appear behind other windows even if the dock is set to be always on top (I tried it when the normal mode too)
Actually the dock consistently "forgets" to remain always on top entirely from time to time as well.
If you can find a way to keep in on top either all the time or even just on hover it would really help for both these features to work correctly.
PS: having absolutly no problems at all with Skype or frozen tabs whatsoever - Tried to reproduce several ways based on other people's comments - but everything is fine for me there. Win7 64Bit

Hi, i just bought OD plus v2, I'm on win 7 64bit. Could someone tell me how could i change the size of my tabbed Dock?
There's an option to change the size, but it only change the size of the icon and the tabs, i can resize the dock itself, its getting annoying since i have lots of shortcut to put in the dock and the size of the dock is pretty small. I don't like pressing the plus or minus button everytime i'm trying to find a specific application that i want to run.

Just go to the edges of the dock, wait until the double sided arrow cursor appears and drag. ![]()

I have got some troubles with Google Apps.
I have created Gmail Apps & Google Calendar Apps (Offline Apps running on Chrome), more information here:
http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95710
I have dragged the created icons into the dock, but when I open it, it shown the icon of Chrome (not Gmail or Calendar Icon). In addition, when the Gmail Apps opened, I cannot open chrome to browse websites anymore.
Please support Google Apps for Chrome with ObjectDocks. That would be a great features.
Furthermore, If the icon on dock can show how many new email or events, that so great!
Thanks,

hothandao, since Google apps are web based, any dock icon for them will just point to the internet.
Do this: Right-click on the shortcut, say, for your gmail, then choose "edit icon." Paste the url for your gmail into the "Arguments" field.
That should care for it.

Oh cool , thanks for the help. I've locked my dock position so i won't move it by mistake, and this too sadly made me unable to resize the dock. Should've figured that one out myself, thanks again ![]()

@ ELDukey glad you like the link.. hope it will help you out...
Do you have 1.9 or did you just got 2.0 ? cause I hear that you can keep 1.9 installed cuase 2.0 puts it in it's own folder and shares files from 1.9 too
if you don't have 1.9 you can get it here free one
http://download.cnet.com/ObjectDock/3000-2072_4-10210264.html
this might help with you post
but I would uninstall 2.0 first then restart PC then install 1.9 restart pc then 2.0
