Microsoft Launches Plug In Site WMP9

Microsoft today announced the launch of WMplugins.com a place where Media Player 9 users can download Skins, Plugins, and Visualizations. The site now has over 100 downloads, and plugins. WMplugins.com also has the ability for users to submit their own plugins, visulizations and skins. Microsoft hopes the site will be considered the untilmate resource for enhancing Windows Media Plaer 9 for Windows XP.

hmmm well I guess this is cool. I see Microsoft is really getting into this GUI thing. I wonder if this is because of Bill Gates and his want to look for the next revolution in Windows?

and what is this about freeware? I think they also plan on having a way for people to sell thier designs?

I really like WMP9. The only thing I heavily mourn about is that it still doesn't read cd-text... Just purchased a plugin from the site btw.

There's a part of the bonus pack that allows you to change winamp2 skins to WMP9 skins, I like the idea. it's about time ms works with others

Lets hope MS keeps on working with others. I am quite happy with them allowing people to have plugins made for WMP9
