Explorer backgrounds makes renaming files text transparent

Thursday, March 4, 2010 by EccentricEric | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I've been trying for several years on WB6 and now WB7 to figure out this bug that never gets fixed.  When using backgrounds for windows explorer the text when renaming files disappears then i can't see what i'm doing.  I noticed it takes on the colors of the wallpapers and i moved the window around and watched it change.   apparantly the text itself becomes transparent and whatever the wallpapter is, is what you see.  i just gave up on backgrounds but now every other theme has a background that i can't figure out how to disable so now some really good themes are unusable now. I've tried all the settings in WB but none fixes it.

I'm using Vista Home bit had this happen on a different machine with XP in the past.

Same problem in Windows 7 when using search.  Any file names that match the search criteria exhibit this same transparent quality when using exporer background images.
