The save/render button does not work

I have an odd and very frustrating problem with Apophysis. The save to disc/render button does not work. This began last night and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program 3 times. All the other buttons/tabs work fine. I am thinking that those that use bryce or any program that renders, maybe has had something like this happen. I am at a loss as to what to try next. I have been using this program for a very long time, and never had a problem.
I did not change anything on my pc, no new programs, etc. The last time I used Apo was last week, and it worked fine.
