sevenconfig.exe issue
Friday, February 26, 2010 by hrydhswyfe | Discussion: WindowBlinds
I purchased Object Desktop about 2 wks ago, and I still can't get WindowBlinds to download correctly. I get an error message after the reboot....sevenconfig.exe has encountered a problem and need to close. I have tried downloading from different browsers, I have uninstalled & installed countless times. I have right-clicked to verify installation, only to download again and again and again. I went into the actual folder and clicked on the .exe files only to be told that important files were not downloaded. I have shut down McAfee while downloading. I gave permission to connect. I have scoured the forums, reading and trying different things. Nothing works...weep...weep. I am a newbie so be gentle. I have XP/service pack 3. Please help.
I'm not pouting....I call those sad eyes....weep...weep. Thank You, hrydhswyfe

After months and months of nothing working.....I finally figured out what was wrong. I went in and created the folder where wb themes are stored. My computer didn't have it. After that, I reinstalled wb and everything is working fine now. After submitting my ticket and having a couple different techs...I sort of got fed up and was just going to eat the cost. But I'm stubborn and continued to "investigate" on my own. Yayyyyy!!!!! I know I mentioned it to one of the techs, way back when and that didn't seem to bother them. Well in my case......adding that folder did the trick.
