Happy Independence Day, America!

The United States is now more powerful than ever. Our local, state, and federal security is at a level never seen before. Citizens are protecting one another by looking out for strange activity. These measures have thwarted off a few potential attacks already. And this new system would not have been successful if it were not for the pride we all have in what is ours. Many thought that Americans were so caught up in the modern lifestyle that we had lost our pride. They couldn't be more wrong. Whether it be the overloading of volunteers at Ground Zero or the millions of dollars donated to various relief funds by citizens, we showed what really matters to us: Love for one another, love for our country, and a dedication of preserving the rights that our forefathers set for us so many years ago.
There have been more threats made against the United States during this July 4. Threats to try and rain on our parade. But, from what I can see, these threats have failed. People are still going to attend these events and celebrate our freedoms. To celebrate the American Spirit. And they are going to feel safe because our military and policing agencies will be watching over, making sure that this is a safe and joyous holiday.
In closing, I wish all Americans a happy July 4th. And do not forget the events that lead up to this holiday: The battles that were fought and the lives lost to gain and preserve the rights we possess. And please, be safe. Although the powers that be will be on guard for any security hazards, you must be responsible for yourself. Do not drive intoxicated and do not use fireworks recklessly. Doing so could ruin your life, and the lives of those around you. Keep it safe, and enjoy the picnics, the fireworks, and other events that take place this holiday.
Happy Independence Day, America!
