Those seldom seen parts of the OS always pop up to bite you...sometimes I'll be nearly done with something and stumble across ONE LITTLE thing that makes me rework whole sections...drives me nuts. ![]()

A preview of things that have changed for a reason or another and that it is still actively being worked on:
Yes things have strayed from the original concept due to parts looking good in one place and being inherited in another and looking like dung and also some spots looking to blah.

Thanks.
Would it be possible:
To make it so the expanded part expands automatically to fit the text instead of having to put in the Recent Documents Expansion value in SKS.
If the text of the file name is to long and the value isn't set right in SKS it looks like shite.
In my screenshot I have already adjusted the value to accommodate the length of the first 2 files...

It looks good on my PC. I didn't like the changes at first, but they're growing on me. There will probably be 3 DXes though. I still like the 2 I have already done.

The original concept was very promising... but being quite honest, the changes have completely ruined it. It's cluttered and scattered all at once. Quite disappointing.

also not fond of most of the changes, its gotten very.. umm.. chunky i guess would be the word. Especially the title-bar area.
That said, im sure it will appeal to others, and good job on ur first WB Heigar ![]()

I like the start menu - very artistic! The windows frame, title care are all amazing still. I just don't like the buttons for the skin.
I would not come close to saying the skin has completely ruined. It still looks one of the best skins campare to those on wincustomize ![]()
UPDATE: I didn't read vStyler comment before posting this. We post at the same time. i still like what I've seen
I hope to artist comes up with better botton's style.

I read the post without realizing how old it was. Still looks good though. Waiting to see how it comes together.

Funny how perspective changes things. I don't even have XP anymore; that machine died. I dual boot 7 & Vista, but I never use Vista anymore. My daily working machine is W7, so that's what I start skinning first.
To me, 7 & Vista are pretty straightforward to skin, and XP is a pain. But then again, I came on the whole skinning scene when Vista was coming out.
Ahh well, take your time and do it right. Looking forward to seeing how it goes.
