CFX on 7 Pro x64: Working in bg cursor not working

As mentioned, I'm using CFX on 7 x64, and the working in background cursor doesn't seem to display; it worked when I was using CXP on XP. It just shows the default cursor. Also, when I hover over the buttons in the control panel (mag glass, pencil thing, etc) there's no tooltip to explain what the buttons do. First time I've really used CFX so I'm not sure if this is a bug or by design.
On a side note, something I miss from CXP...when changing the size of the cursor, would be nice if it displayed the percentage like in the previous incarnation (unless that's one of the missing tooltips).
Bah...why isn't this in the CFX forum where it was supposed to be? 
Update: It seems to work sometimes outside of FF, but doesn't want to work when it should (like when a page is loading).
