Is this taskbar workable?
Thursday, January 14, 2010 by PoSmedley | Discussion: WindowBlinds Tutorials
I have tried, but to no avail. Is it because it can't be done?

All I get are the tab(s) multiple times, under each quick launch icon. I really need help with this.
EDIT* I making this in Vista

I have had some huge help from Tim putting it together. I really can't take credit. Hopefully he's getting some sleep now.

I put shadows on my per pixel frames because I really like the 3D look.
There's a section in SKS7 for adding Vista/7 shadows, but I haven't quite figured out how to use that or why...maybe for UIS0 skins? Anyway, I don't use that section....I just put them in my original images and slice them up with the shadows in them.

lol
I had to dl Skype for the file sharing with him. Messenger was being a bitch about sharing files.
I really hate all the IM apps. I wish Mozilla would come out with one.
It's all skinhits fault.

yeah i think shadows are a pure personal choice entirely up to you, sometimes i use them, sometimes i dont, depends on the skin too, and the feel of it. xx

If you don't want to do drop shadows but still want the frames to "pop" out a bit from the background, you can add a subtle (dark) outer glow to the edges. No more than 3 pixels and maybe at 50% opacity.

I was down for the count yesterday and got nothing done on this. Been plugging away this morning on the log off stuff and mouse over buttons. Can't figure out how to make that ugly blue highlight go away over the all programs when I mouse over. I'd like to use the item mouseover image for it instead.
blah, blah,....Here is what I have so far

Yup. If you skin the image, the color won't show up. If you are planning on an xp substyle, you will however need to change the color of the mouseover. You'll find that in: Change skin colours ->show me the skin defined skin colours -> menu highlight.
Coming along nicely, there! ![]()

Add some extra blank canvas to the top and bottom images on the left and right sides and it should line up nicely
Here is the all programs mouseover image location

I figured it was something to do with that, but not sure where to add the extra canvas. I have to play with it.
