"ViewSonic is committed to delivering next generation, wireless display technology to the home as well as the traditional business sector," said James Chu, ViewSonic president and CEO. "By capitalizing on the latest technology we are bringing new options to consumers that will alter the way people work and play in the home."
Among ViewSonic's consumer products featured in Las Vegas:
The VX3600 MegaMonitor® is ViewSonic's first offering in a new category of large-screen, high-definition monitors that allow users to view multiple forms of digital entertainment from one display-VCR, DVD, camcorder, digital camera, cable box, game player, television and PC signals-at resolutions up to four times higher than standard television images.
The PJ500 and PJ550 are two projectors designed not only to meet the stringent requirements of business professionals, but also deliver the versatility and ease of use demanded by home theater enthusiasts. With estimated street prices (ESP) starting at $1895, both are affordable alternatives to stationary, bulky and expensive big-screen TVs. Weighing just five pounds, the PJ500 and PJ550 offer compatibility and excellent image quality in a lightweight, mobile form factor.
The ViewSonic airpanel™ 150 is a 15-inch, wireless LCD display prototype based on Mira, a set of Microsoft® Windows technologies that extend the rich capabilities of the PC to smart displays anywhere in the home. The airpanel 150 allows users to access their PC and any files, applications and/or data— wirelessly from any room of the home, without having to be directly in front of their PC.
