Hello everyone!
Welcome to the WC 2010 Beta. We are excited to be getting near the release of the new WinCustomize, but we still have many things to be worked out, and your help in finding issues and other feedback will be appreciated. Remember, this is a beta and problems can be expected.
You can access the beta site at:
This forum will serve as the place to give your feedback whether it's a site issue, or general feedback about the site. To make this organized and efficient, there are a few guidelines to follow in this area.
Tag posts with the titles. Example: [Bug] Page Not Working
[Bug] Use this if you find a site bug.
[Feature] Obviously, if you want to give feedback on a specific feature.
[Request] If you are requesting something.
[Question] If you have a general question not pertaining to other tags.
If your post is something other than those examples, just tag the post appropriately so we can view them with some type of order.
The forums are not part of this beta, with the possible exception of a new theme. Feedback for the forums doesn't need to be posted here. If you run across a forum issue, please use the existing thread here.

Site is a little slow and can't get videos of Dreams. I realize this is in beta and will probably be looked at. Nice job.

The overall appearance is excellent, although I do miss seeing "Recent Forum Activity" on the Home Page.

I think this should be fixed, let me know if you are still having issues... The Dream videos will only show up if the skin has a video available. If its just all grey when you click the video preview link then its another issue. Also if they are Dreams that you have already seen when they were broken you may have to clear your cache/restart your browser to see those ones properly. If they still aren't working post and I'll look into it further.

1. Explanation as to what will be customizable, User Level Privileges.
2. "Site Map" option at bottom of Home Page and on the "Home" drop down.
3. Under "Forums" tab on Home Page a drop down with "Recent Forum Activity", and specific Forums i.e. Support, General, etc.
[Bug]
1. Cross posted comment intended for Kenwas's work.
2. "Edit" yielded "Error" page appearing.

I really don't sense a "Community Feel" to the very polished Home Page.

That's something that should be kept private. No one needs to know that except the Masters themselves.

it actually is private right now, those totals you see for master skins are not real/accurate... just need to turn off the display off them at all for master skins
edit: this has been fixed, you should no longer be able to see anything as it pertains to download stats for master skins (keep in mind the ones you saw before were inaccurate)

Well, I can see how knowing this info might give potential buyers an idea as to how others feel about the skin. The download count, in conjunction with the ratings, would help a potential buyer make a decision....just an opinion.
I can also see how it may be harder to track Master downloads, because they are downloaded from a link, not from the skin's page.

The video of Laser Burn does not work on the new site. I does work on the old. As an example.

In any gallery, when you try to choose to view more than 12 skins on a page, nothing happens when you change it to 18, and there is no 'go' button there to make it do that.
[question] Will we be able to view more than 18 skins on a page? I really like viewing alot on one page in the current site.
[question] Are subscribers going to see ads too?

hmmmm its working for me on the test site, can you try going to the details page for it and doing a ctrl + f5 reload on it? also what browser are you using and are other video previews working for you or are they all broken?

for the first question: the apply button should change your view to see 18 skins per page (the button should be right below the drop down for # of skins, let me know if its not there)... it is working for me in firefox, what browser are you using?
second question: that's really up to what people want, afaik its setup to handle more then 18 per page just hasn't been set to do so.
third: no they will not, currently we are working out some bugs in the ads

IE7 ands it's not there. I would use IE8, but we cant skin the tabs in Windowblinds yet, and that is what I'm waiting for.
ok, we have a bunch of known issues in IE7 right now, I will add this to the list

[Bug] If I login to the forums, I can't log into the beta site unless I clear all of my *wincustomize* cookies. (Safari/Fx/Chrome OS X)
[Bug] On OS X there's a scrollbar on every skin/article comment

Video preview are not working for the Dreams. I checked some of mine and they do not load. Leviathan, Dingy, Cozy fire to name a few. Also, the hyperlinks in the Dream descriptions do not display as a link.
Here's a screenshot of my Cozy Fire Dream showing the problems. I get a grey box where the video preview should be running.
