Tuesday, December 29, 2009 by sublime20 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Hey all, im back to share my experience.
remember that thread i said i was getting my new rig....
I finally got it and IT WROX!!!!
here are the specs again for the people that missed the last thread i wrote:
ok it has customizeable parts so here are the most important of the choices i made:
W7 Ultimate 64bit:
Core i5 750
6GB RAM
650GB HDD
(1.8 GB)Geforce GTX 260
------------------------------------------------------------
So far in the last topic i created i was saying i hadnt gotten it yet...
many of you said it was a decent rig..some said
i need to go custom (i agree to both of those)
but here is what i have thrown at my new HP rig:
far cry 2
NFS shift
Mass Effect
CnC Red Alert 3
CnC Command And Conquer Tiberium Wars & Kanes Wrath
Fuel
Burnout Paradise
Halo2
- All of these Titles MAXXED OUTTT at highest settings.... NO ISSUES what so ever.....framerates are insanley high everything looks photorealistic.....
the only issue was with Halo 2V...for some reason the mouse was jittery, Unresponsive and almost unuseable
other than that.... This New rig of mine is just what i needed.
untill i get my copy of Crysis i cant tell you how it will run but will get back to you on that!
tell me what y'all think!

Your new rig looks like it has some strong areas, (ie. I5, 6gb, Seven 64bit, and GTX 260).
The HD would make excellent storage when you install a 128gb or larger SSD. I am not a "rich" guy by any means, but the OCZ Agility 128gb SSD I installed a couple months ago upgraded everything in my rig. Absolutly the best upgrade I have EVER made. ![]()
Custom Build:
Case: HAF 932 (modified)
Processor: Core I7 920 (OC to 3.4ghz) - Cooler: Thermalright Ultra 120
Mother: EVGA Classified 3-way SLI (model 759)
RAM: 6gb ddr3 OCZ platinum (1600) with "crab cooler"
SSD: OCZ Agility 128gb. HD: 500gb WD
Graphics: 2- EVGA GTX 275 /1792mb SLI'd and a EVGA GTX 250 /512mb for dedicated Physix
Power: 1000 watt Ultra

There's a bench-marking Demo of Resident Evil 5....just google it....it'll give you a real-life bench of what you're getting with your system...![]()
I averaged 106fps at 1680x1050 32bit DX10 ...![]()

this is my benchmark of RE5 in DX10 mode.... im using and old CRT monitor that only allows for 60Hz refresh rate so the benchmark Framerate went from 52 fps to 60fps..
(shoulda bought a widescreen after i broke the one i got from HP)
I ran it again with vsync turned off, fps lock off and it jumped upto 72-93 fps with all settings Maxxxxed out and at the highest resolution, which was 1280x1024 @ 60Hz
