NVIDIA Releases New Drivers

NVIDIA has announced that they will be releasing new drivers for their graphics cards tomorrow December 3, 2001. They are expected to be available for download from http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=drivers
The 23.11 release of the Detonator XP drivers were developed to maximize 2D as well as 3D performance, and to take advantage of the new API's in Windows XP. These same API's are used in WindowBlinds.

Don't pat those suckers on the back so fast until they release some 3dfx drivers (whom they bought out but will not offer 1 ounce of support for).

Woah....Hold on there cowboy!
nVidia did not "buy out" 3dfx. They bought their intellectual property (ideas/patents) i.e. NOT SHIPPED PRODUCTS. nVidia doesn't owe 3dfx users squat. I have 2 V5-5500 now collecting dust in a box somewhere. We are victims of 3dfx's poor business decisions. Get over it and get a GF3...I'll promise you won't be disappointed. Even the AA beats the V5 IMO.

Orion, you are right on both counts. 3dfx died because of their poor decisions.
The latest generation of NVIDIA hardware and driver support is amazing. The GeForce 3 is an exceptional card.
But even if you are running a older card, the new drivers improve performance.
